A deputy chief of the National Police of Ukraine, Kostyantyn Bushuyev, has resigned.
"So, 20 years in police plus four years in the National Police of Ukraine is a huge period of life which came to a conclusion today. Thanks to everyone who I had the honour to serve with," Bushuyev said on Facebook.
He noted that he trusted the philosophy of new police introduced by Khatia Dekanoidze.
"Police are a service for society, and no way else," he added.
After Dekanoidze as chief of the National Police stepped down in November 2016, he was one of the main contenders for her post.
