Prosecutor-General Yuriy Lutsenko has tendered his resignation.
He has announced this during an interview with journalist Dmytro Gordon.
Parliament planned to dismiss Lutsenko today anyway and authorize the president to appoint a new prosecutor-general.
According to Lutsenko, the relevant parliamentary committee will convene at around 10 p.m.
"I will report to the committee and then, I hope, I will be given the floor to speak from the rostrum," he said.
