Acting Health Minister Ulyana Suprun has tendered her resignation letter to newly-appointed Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
Her deputies Pavlo Kovtonyuk and Oleksandr Linchevskyy follower her suit, she said on Facebook.
"We are waiting for the next government meeting to consider them [resignations]. Until then, we, as always, continue to do our job," she added.
She wished new officials success and gave them advice.
"Believe in your strength. Do not let someone rule you. Do not be afraid to be technocrats and do not be 'someone’s tame' ministers. You are responsible for the entire areas of life of Ukrainians and you are experts in the government. Make decisions and strive for their implementation. Remember that you serve the Ukrainian people, not the president, party chairman, or any other politician," she said.
Earlier, an online petition to keep Suprun as health minister has collected the required minimum of 25,000 to be considered by the president.
In late July, she said that if she leaves the Health Ministry, she will continue her efforts to reform the healthcare sector.
