Another Ukrainian woman died from coronavirus in Italy on 19 March, the Ukrayinska Pravda news website has said, qiuoting Foreign Ministry spokesperson Kateryna Zelenko.
“We confirm the second death,” she said.
The director of the consular service department at the Foreign Ministry, Serhiy Pohoreltsev, added that the woman died in the province of Bergamo.
“Unfortunately, the information has been verified. A Ukrainian national born 1958 died in a hospital in Romano di Lombardia yesterday,” he said.
This is the second lethal coronavirus case involving a Ukrainian in Italy. On 13 March, Ukrainian national Rayisa Malysheva died in Rovato, the province of Brescia.
