The Kyiv authorities have tightened restrictive measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus. In particular, kiosks will be banned from selling shawarma, making and selling coffee drinks and alcohol per glass, according to the Kyiv official portal.

It is obligatory for people to wear face masks in administrative offices, manufacturing facilities and public transport. This implementation of this requirement will be monitored by the National Police and district administrations.

The city authorities have also asked the National Academy of Medical Sciences to send its specialists in communicable diseases to city hospitals.
