SpaceX chief Elon Musk has warned there is a high chance the company's Starlink satellite broadband service could be the target of the Russian military troops in Ukraine.
"Important warning: Starlink is the only non-Russian communications system still working in some parts of Ukraine, so probability of being targeted is high. Please use with caution," Musk tweeted.
He advised to turn Starlink on only when needed and to place the antenna as far away from people as possible.
Commenting on Musk's tweet, Ukrainian Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote: "Of course. We will put them to use to benefit Ukrainians, even after our victory."
As previously reported, Elon Musk's Starlink satellite broadband decided to open an official representative office in Ukraine. To this end, the first batch of Starlink stations has already arrived in Ukraine. This means that Internet services via Starlink satellites are now active in Ukraine. On 1 of March Ukrainian Railways received the second batch of Starlink broadband stations into the country.
