Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President, a member of the negotiating group with Russia, Mykhailo Podoliak during the telethon said that the next round of negotiations can be expected in 2-4 days.
"We are at war. Every day for us means a number of people who will die. And a certain amount of infrastructure that will definitely be destroyed by the russians. Thus, we want [it] as soon as possible," - said Podoliak.
He said that "in the opinion of the Ukrainian side, we have already reached the possibility of preliminary agreements" and this will allow to "launch the process of a meeting for the presidents."
"Therefore, we believe that maybe in two-three days, maybe four, we will already have the final version, which will be confirmed by the russians with their remarks, and we will be able to reach the next round of negotiations," - said the Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President.
Podoliak suggested that russia will be satisfied with the agreement on security guarantees. "This is an opportunity for the russian side to save some part of its face," - said the member of the negotiating group.
On 29 March, the sixth round of negotiations between the Ukrainian and russian delegations took place in Turkey. The concept of peace was discussed at the meeting. The Ukrainian side insisted that the signatories of the peace agreement should be the guarantor countries that are members of the UN Security Council, in particular Turkey and the United States.
