Regiment "Azov" shared the photos to show the conditions the wounded Mariupol guards stay in .
On their Telegram, the fighters appealed to the UN and Red Cross to "show their humanity and confirm the basic principles on which they have been set up by saving wounded people who are no longer combatants".
"The entire civilized world must see the conditions in which the wounded, mutilated Mariupol defenders are living and acting! In poor sanitation , with open wounds, tied up with non-sterile bandages, without necessary medicines and even food", the Azov people said.
Soldiers are demanding the emergency evacuation of wounded servicemen to Ukrainian-controlled areas where they can receive aid and proper care.
"The servicemen you see in the photo and hundreds more at the Azovstal plant have defended Ukraine and the entire civilized world at the cost of their health. Is Ukraine and the world community not now able to defend and fight for them?" the appeal to Azov says.
We would like to point out that the National Guard said that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the state leadership report on the search for possibilities to evacuate civilians from Azovstal and are working on an "extraction" procedure for wounded servicemen, The Ukrainian government is also working on extrication procedures for wounded combatants, medical workers and soldiers, also asking international community for help.
