Scheduled outages are planned to be held in the city of Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions during the day on 8 November, the Ukrainian energy distribution company Ukrenergo has said.
"Consumers need to be restricted to lower the load on the grid, ensure the stable balancing of the energy system and avoid repeat failures," the company said.
Emergency shutdowns are not planned yet.
Ukrenergo called on Ukrainians to help the country maintain the balance of its energy system damaged by Russian shelling by avoiding using several heavy-duty devices at once, especially during the morning and evening peak hours.
