On Poland's Independence Day of Poland, Mykolayiv and Chelm signed a partnership agreement, Ukrainian mayor Oleksandr Senkevych has said.
According to him, the cities will cooperate in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the community of Chelm has repeatedly collected humanitarian aid for Mykolayiv, including medicines. It also helped us to deliver goods and equipment from other European cities," said Senkevych.
Earlier, Senkevych and Hannover mayor Belit Onay signed a partnership memorandum between the two cities.
