President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal have met US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who paid a surprise visit to Kyiv.
Zelenskyy and Shmyhal thanked the USA for the financial support that makes it possible to cover the unfunded part of the state budget of Ukraine.
They discussed Ukraine's cooperation with the IMF, the prospects for implementing the Fund's programmes, rebuilding of Ukrainian infrastructure, as well as financial and sanctions pressure on Russia, confiscation of frozen Russian assets, and war risk insurance.
