Ukraine may receive fighter jets as part of an international coalition, as it did with modern tanks, Defenсe Minister Oleksiy Reznikov told Bild.

"I think it will be some kind of coalition again, we will have the basic level and others," he said.

Reznikov is confident that Ukraine will be able to get two or three types of fighter jets. Which one will be the main one will depend on Ukraine's needs: airfields, engineers, and maintenance.

"In the tank coalition, the main animal in the zoo is the Leopard from Germany, but we also have Challenger, Abrams, and light tanks from France. But the main battle tank is the Leopard," he said.

According to Bild, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently opposed the delivery of fighter jets and stated this in his speech to the Bundestag.

Reznikov reacted: "I remember that Germany did not want to send tanks. Now my country has Leopards, I personally tested a Leopard from Germany."

Having reached an agreement to supply Ukraine with tanks, Kyiv is seeking modern fighter jets. British Defenсe Secretary Ben Wallace said that London was considering giving its fighter jets to the allies so that they could give the Ukrainians Soviet-style fighters. France is considering giving Ukraine its Mirage fighter jets.

On 24 February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine was starting fighter jet pilot training with Britain.
