The Foreign Ministry has invited Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who called the war with Russia a "territorial dispute," to visit Ukraine, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko has tweeted.
He expressed confidence that "as a former military man sent to a combat zone, Governor Ron DeSantis knows the difference between a 'dispute' and a war".
"We invite him to visit Ukraine to better understand Russia's full-scale invasion and the threats it poses to US interests," Nikolenko said.
In an interview with one of the American TV channels, DeSantis said that supporting Ukraine against Russia's encroachment on its sovereignty is not in the national interests of the United States and added that the United States is increasingly involved in a "territorial dispute" between Ukraine and Russia.
