On 21 January, Russia attacked Ukraine with 131 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of imitation drones from the directions of Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and also launched four Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Voronezh Region. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
As of 09:00, 72 Shaheds and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyy, Vinnytsya, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhya, and Rivne Regions. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Another 59 Russian decoy drones were lost locally (no negative consequences).
In Poltava and Cherkasy Regions, institutions, outbuildings and private homes were damaged. Special services are eliminating the consequences, with no casualties or injuries reported.
