President Petro Poroshenko has said that the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France will not meet to change the Minsk agreements on a Donbas settlement. He was speaking at a news conference on the results of 2015.
"Minsk-3 does not exist and, I hope, will never exist," he said.
"The only thing we are lacking is a new roadmap, new dates, when the sides undertake commitments to implement all the clauses by a certain date in a certain order," he added.
He admitted there was a risk of Russia failing its commitments under the Minsk agreements once again. If this happens, sanctions against Russia will be extended, and if the situation escalates, Moscow will be slapped even harder.
Poroshenko ruled out the revision of the Minsk agreements.
