The head of the Kherson regional council, Vladyslav Manher, who is suspected of organising the murder of local activist Kateryna Handzyuk, has twice refused to testify in the case, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said on Facebook.
“This position contradicts his own statements and attests to his unwillingness to help the truth to be established,” it added.
Kateryna Handzyuk was attacked with acid in July 2018. She died of complications four months later.
