President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Foreign Intelligence Service chief Yehor Bozhok, according to the decree published on the president's official website.

Later in the day, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Bozhok a deputy foreign minister of Ukraine.

Born in 1980, Bozhok was in charge of Ukraine's mission to Nato from June 2015 to September 2017.
