Labour migrants have transferred 5.54bn dollars to Ukraine in the first half of 2019, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
In Q2 2019, Ukraine received $2.84bn from labour migrants abroad, which is around 8.1% of the country's GDP for that period.
A bigger part, over $1.9bn, came from Ukrainians in Poland; $505m from the Czech Republic; $498m from Russia, and $458m from the USA.
Labour migrants in the EU transferred $3.65bn to Ukraine and $559m came from the CIS.
In 2018, labour migrants transferred $11bn to Ukraine.
According to the State Migration Service and the State Border Service, 3.2m Ukrainians are permanently employed abroad and from 7m to 9m Ukrainians work there part-time.
