The international initiative Stand up for Ukraine has already raised more than 10bn dollars in almost two weeks of existence.
On Twitter, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Global Citizen organization.
"This is an important contribution to the support of Ukraine after the Russian invasion. Thank you to each and everyone who joins. Let's do it together!" He wrote.

The global Stand up for Ukraine program was launched at the request of the President of Ukraine by the Government of Canada and the European Commission on 26 March. This program mobilizes governments, companies, and citizens to raise financial aid for Ukraine.
It is aimed at helping people who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war. The funds will be used to support both international refugees and internally displaced persons.
