Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the National Police had received reports of the disappearance of 1,214 children, announced the Adviser to the President of Ukraine on Children's Rights Daria Gerasymchuk.
"90 children are still missing today. Unfortunately, among those children who were found, two were found dead," Gerasimchuk said.
She added that exactly how many Ukrainian children were forcibly taken by the invaders to russia or the temporarily occupied territories is unknown.
According to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, it is 2,389 minors.
Daria Gerasymchuk noted that 218 children injured in the fighting continue to be treated in health care facilities. Most of the children who received medical care due to injuries were aged 7 to 14. 93% of them suffered landmine blast injuries or gunshot wounds, and 14 children had to have their upper or lower limbs amputated.
Over 646 Ukrainian children suffered from the full-scale armed aggression by the russian federation. As of May 13, the official number of child victims has not changed - 226, but the number of injured has increased to 420.
Earlier it was reported that the russians began to interrogate children trying to leave Mariupol with their parents.
