At dawn, Russian troops shelled the Shiroke amalgamated community of the Dnipropetrovsk region from the “Uragan” self-propelled multiple rocket launcher systems.
People were not injured, but windows were broken in several houses, the head of the regional military administration, Valentyn Reznichenko, reported on Telegram.
"There are cluster munitions in several yards. Pyrotechnics are working," he wrote.
The occupiers use cluster munitions in many regions of Ukraine. They were found in the Kyiv region, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and Mykolayiv. A civilian died in the Dnipropetrovsk region due to the detonation of such munition. They are prohibited from use by international law.
Cluster munitions contain slow-action mines that fly a considerable distance, lie on the surface for a long time, and then detonate. They kill the largest number of people after the end of hostilities. A notable feature of cluster munitions is the "parachute."
Earlier, on the morning of May 12, when people were going to work, the enemy also shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region with “Uragan”. Then one civilian died, and another one was wounded. The shelling also destroyed a critical infrastructure object.
